Hi Guys.
I'm 21 years old and going to my first Rock Concert. I'm off to see Simple Plan Live in melbourne, Australia.
It's my first concert, never been to one.
I know there's a board topic similar to this but my friends been making fun of me because I'm going to my first concert at age 21.
Plus, a lot of people hate Simple Plan, me personally I like them!
Anyway, how old were you when you went to your first concert, and who did you see?
Keep Rocking!
Alex.
I went to my firstconcert when I was 12. It was an irish folk group called the Dubliners.
I was 8. Saw The Police.
I saw America when I was 10, that was my first concert. And personally, Simple Plan is a guilty pleasure of mine, although their latest album was pure crap
My first concert was at age ten or eleven. I saw Weird Al, of all people.
If that doesn't count, my next would probably be David Wilcox at age fourteen, or Helix and Alice Cooper at age twenty-two.
I was 13 when my brother took me to my first show: Trail of Tears at a tiny little club that has since closed. I was interested in the band, but I was mostly there to see one of the opening acts (Echoes of Eternity) which never showed up. Anyway, I absolutely loved the atmosphere and energy and I've been to almost 30 shows since then.
I didn't go to my first concert until my first semester of college. I got involved in the Social Activities Council (SAC), which hosted a concert series in the student center every semester. The first one was a group of women who played solo material and group material. It was very good; if I had thought to bring my wallet, I'm sure I would have bought some CD's.
The first off-campus concert I went to also happened during my first semester of college. It was an a cappella concert in a small, crowded cafe. The opening act was absolutely horrible (ironically, they called themselves Noteworthy), but the second act was good, and Duwende, the group we came to see, was amazing. I have the CD they were selling at the time, which is awesome, but you need to see them live to really appreciate how extremry talented they are.
